Hyperlipidaemia,Abstract
Hyperlipidaemia is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by elevated levels of
serum cholesterol, triglycerides, or lipoproteins and is a major modifiable risk factor for
cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease and stroke. The global rise in
hyperlipidaemia is closely linked to sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy dietary habits, obesity, and
metabolic syndrome. Conventional medical management emphasizes lifestyle modification
and long-term pharmacotherapy, particularly statins, which may be associated with adverse
effects and issues of compliance. Homoeopathy views hyperlipidaemia not merely as a
biochemical abnormality but as a manifestation of disturbed vital force arising from chronic
miasmatic influences and altered susceptibility.
