Chronic bronchitisAbstract
Chronic bronchitis is a major phenotype within chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
(COPD), characterized by persistent productive cough and airway inflammation leading to
recurrent exacerbations, impaired quality of life, and increased healthcare utilization. Despite
advances in pharmacologic therapy, a substantial proportion of patients continue to
experience symptom burden and adverse effects, prompting interest in complementary
systems of medicine.
