Abstract

: Pistia stratiotes (PS) has a long history of usage in preventing oxidative and inflammatory 
bursts, which are significant components of renal reperfusion injury (RI/R). Reports indicate that 
it may reduce cholesterol levels as well as blood sugar levels. Therefore, this research set out to 
demonstrate how PS altered renal reperfusion injury in rats with diabetes and those without the 
disease.
